Think Differently Education is an Alternative Provision with a Difference
At Think Differently Education, we offer bespoke educational opportunities that combine outdoor education with low-demand academic work designed to meet the needs of your EBSA students. As a therapeutic, teacher-led provision, we work with you and your families to help your anxious neurodivergent students reengage in their education and eventually reengage with school.

Who do we support?
We work with neurodivergent young people in UKS2 and KS3 who experience anxiety and struggle to attend school. We help them to feel safe and understood so that they can begin to re-engage in their education and the wider world.
What do we offer?
Our unique therapeutic programme centres around a safety-first philosophy. The initial focus is on relationship building so that our students learn to trust in our staff and our approach. As this trust develops, we support students to slowly broaden their ability to cope with new situations. As we do so, we introduce them to our personalised learning plan.
Once students are fully integrated into our woodland provision, our experienced teachers will work closely with them to:
- identify areas that interest, engage and inspire them
- plan curriculum-linked learning that the students will work through at their own pace
Where do we start?
We meet the student where they are. Whether they are just beginning to disengage and you want an alternative provision placement as a preventative measure, they disengaged years ago and now barely leave their home, or anything in between, we are able to offer personalised support to help them re-engage.
Our safety-first philosophy means we prioritise relationship-building and sensory regulation before expectation. This ensures our students feel safe enough to begin healing and supports their ability to re-engage in their education in the long term rather than burning out after a few months.
Reintegrating into School
With this approach, we hope to be able to support young people to successfully reintegrate into their school environment. We will work closely with SENDCOs and pastoral teams to create a gradual, personalised transition plan that supports the learner to re-engage with the school confidently, securely and sustainably.
